Nebula is Lucid’s native yield layer for stablecoin liquidity, designed to help ecosystems transform idle stablecoin liquidity into sustainable, revenue-generating infrastructure.

Built on top of Lucid’s interoperability infrastructure, Nebula enables ecosystems to coordinate canonical liquidity across 25+ chains through one unified system.

## The Problem

Stablecoin liquidity across multi-chain ecosystems is heavily fragmented.

In most ecosystems:

* liquidity is distributed across isolated bridges
* yield is captured by external protocols
* foundations do not monetise stablecoin activity
* canonical liquidity becomes fragmented across providers
* ecosystems rely on third-party infrastructure for liquidity coordination

This creates inefficient capital distribution and weakens long-term ecosystem liquidity sustainability.

## Chain-Owned Liquidity

Nebula operationalises the concept of chain-owned liquidity by allowing ecosystems to retain and monetise stablecoin liquidity within their own infrastructure.

Instead of stablecoin activity generating value primarily for external bridges or third-party liquidity providers, Nebula redirects yield generation toward ecosystem foundations and treasury infrastructure.

Inspired by early chain-owned liquidity systems such as Katana, Nebula expands this model into a fully productised multi-chain infrastructure layer.
