In Lucid, VEO (Vested Emission Offering) markets can be closed either through multisig approval or via a designated auto-approval address—depending on how the organization was configured at creation.

Multisig-Approval Mode (Default)

By default, if your organization uses a multisig wallet for governance, all required signers (based on the configured threshold) must approve the closure of the VEO. Simply clicking the “Close Market” button will initiate the process, but the VEO will not be considered closed until the necessary approvals are collected.

This process ensures that closing a market—just like creating one—is governed and authorized by the collective decision of the multisig signers.

Auto-Approval via Single Address (Optional)

Alternatively, the organization can configure a single address with closing authority. If this is set, any market created or closed by that address will be automatically approved, bypassing the need for multisig coordination. In this case:

  • The “Close Market” button will immediately finalize the action.

  • The approval interface will not appear in the organization summary page.

This option is ideal for projects that prefer streamlined operations without waiting for multiple multisig confirmations.

⚠️ Important: Only multisig signers or the configured auto-approver will see the “Close Market” button in the UI. If you don’t see this option, you likely don’t have the required permissions.

How to close VEO markets in Lucid

1. Access the VEOs Section

To delete a VEO, begin by navigating to the VEOs section from the sidebar menu on the Lucid homepage. As shown in the first screenshot, click the “VEOs” button in the sidebar to proceed.

2. Choose VEO

Once you enter the VEOs page, you’ll see various VEOs. Click the View button under "Actions" to proceed. For demonstration purposes we will be displaying Lucid.

3. Close Market

The “Close Market” button is only visible to users currently connected to a multisig wallet that has permission to manage that specific VEO market.

Steps to close a VEO:

  1. Go to the VEO detail page.

  2. Make sure you’re connected with one of the authorized multisig wallets.

  3. Click the red “Close Market” button (top-right corner of the page).

  4. A transaction will be generated requiring multisig approval.

VEO markets can be closed either through multisig approval of all signers or via a designated auto-approval address—depending on how the organization was configured at creation.
