Multi-Bridge is Lucid’s cross-chain messaging and asset transfer infrastructure designed for secure, modular interoperability across multiple blockchains. It supports routing a single transaction through multiple bridges simultaneously, using a configurable consensus threshold (e.g., 2 of 3) to validate and execute the message. This setup ensures fault tolerance, redundancy, and improved reliability—especially in environments where bridge availability or performance may vary.
The Multi-Bridge module in Lucid comprises three key components, each catering to a specific use case:
This component enables secure and seamless token transfers across multiple blockchains. Users can transfer tokens from one chain to another via a unified interface that supports multiple bridges. It is executed outside of Lucid.
The Message Transfers feature facilitates cross-chain communication, enabling contracts on different blockchains to interact with each other. This is especially useful for governance, updates, or other inter-chain contract operations. It is executed outside of Lucid.
Bridge Portals function similarly to Multi-Bridge Asset Transfers, but the entire process is seamlessly executed within the Lucid platform. Lucid’s Bridge Portals module is the only xERC20 bridge aggregator that helps users discover the fastest and most cost-effective routes for cross-chain asset transfers. It ensures secure, seamless, and highly efficient transactions across multiple ecosystems. It is executed within Lucid.
