Overview

The Vote Page is designed to facilitate and manage on-chain governance for organizations within the Lucid platform. This section enables users to explore governance settings, create proposals, delegate voting power, and view proposal histories.

Key Features

Explore Organizations

Search and Filter:

• Use the search bar to find specific organizations.

• Filter by chain using the dropdown menu to narrow down the organizations.

Displayed Details:

• Name of the organization.

• Governor Name: The specific governor contract associated with the organization.

• Governor Chain: The blockchain where the governor contract resides.

• Voting Chains: The chains enabled for voting.

• View Button: Access detailed voting settings and proposals for each organization.

Organisation Specific Voting Details

When you click the View Button for an organization, you will be redirected to the organization-specific governance page. Here’s what you can expect:

Interface Overview

Header Information

  • Organization Name: Displays the selected organization (e.g., Compound).

  • Governor Name: Identifies the associated governor (e.g., Treasury Compound).

  • Governor Chain: Shows the chain where the governor contract is deployed.

  • Voting Chains: Lists the chains enabled for voting, allowing multi-chain governance.

Proposals Section

  • Create Proposal: Users can initiate a new proposal for governance-related decisions. Clicking the button opens a proposal creation interface.

  • Delegate: Delegate your voting power to another user. Useful for users who wish to participate indirectly in governance.

  • Vote Power: Displays the voting power of the user for the organization.

  • Active Proposals: Displays a list of current proposals under consideration, including: -Proposal Name -Proposal ID -End Date -Status (e.g., active, ended)

If no active proposals are available, the section will state “No results.”

Proposal History

Provides a list of completed proposals for reference, showing:

  • Proposal Name

  • Proposal ID

  • End Date

  • Status (e.g., approved, rejected)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Accessing the Vote Page

  • Navigate to the Vote Page from the main navigation menu.

  • Use the search bar or chain filter to find your desired organization.

2. Viewing Organization Details

  • Click the View Button next to the organization name to access its specific governance page.

3. Managing Proposals

  • Creating Proposals: Click Create Proposal and follow the steps to draft and submit a proposal.

  • Delegating Voting Power: Use the Delegate button to assign your voting rights to another user.

  • Checking Active Proposals: Review ongoing proposals in the Proposals section. Details like ID, status, and deadlines help you stay informed.

4. Reviewing Proposal History

  • Scroll to the Proposal History section to view previously concluded governance decisions for the organization.

The Vote Page provides a streamlined interface for managing multi-chain governance, ensuring that users have complete control over proposals, voting, and delegation within their organizations.
