Vested Emission Offerings (VEOs) - Hidden

Introduction to Vested Emission Offerings (VEOs)

Vested Emission Offerings (VEOs) in Lucid enable protocols to efficiently manage liquidity across ecosystems by offering discounted tokens to users based on specific targets. This mechanism allows for:

  • Targeted liquidity provisioning across multiple chains.

  • Discounted token sales to incentivize participation.

  • Vesting schedules to ensure long-term commitment from buyers.

VEOs help protocols optimize their liquidity strategy, engage communities, and drive sustainable growth.

Types of VEOs in Lucid

Lucid supports multiple VEO types tailored to different liquidity strategies:

  1. Strategic VEOs: Designed for long-term capital acquisition and ecosystem incentives.

  2. TVL (Total Value Locked) VEOs: Used to attract liquidity providers by offering vested incentives.

  3. Liquidity VEOs: Helps bootstrap liquidity across different chains with time-based emissions.

Each VEO type can follow various strategies, including:

  • Fixed-Price: Tokens are sold at a set price.

  • Sequential Dutch: Gradual price adjustments based on demand.

  • Oracle-Based Pricing: Dynamic pricing adjusted through external price feeds.

How to participate in a VEO

  1. Browse VEOs – Find a VEO of interest using filters.

  2. Click View – See full details, including the price, vesting period, and available allocation.

  3. Select Participation Amount – Input the amount of tokens you want to buy.

  4. Approve & Confirm Transaction – Ensure your wallet is connected and confirm your participation.

  5. Track Vesting Schedule – Monitor your purchased VEOs and claim tokens once vested.

Managing your VEOs

  • Click “My VEOs” to view your active and completed VEOs.

  • Monitor vesting schedules, remaining allocations, and claimable tokens.

  • View historical purchases and past participations.

Interface Description

To access VEOs:

1. Click on the “VEO” tab in the sidebar menu.

2. The VEOs Dashboard will display:

  • Total Value Locked (TVL): The total USD value of assets secured with tokens through VEOs.

  • Total VEOs available: The total number of VEOs issued via the protocol's smart contracts.

  • Unique adresses that have purchased VEOs

3. Users can filter and search based on:

  • Issuer/Protocol

  • Status (Live, Closed, etc.)

  • VEO Type (Strategic, TVL, Liquidity, etc.)

  • Price Strategy (Fixed-Price, Oracle-Driven, Sequential Dutch, etc.)

Exploring Organisations on the VEO Marketplace

The Organisations View allows users to explore VEOs categorized by issuing protocols. Each card represents an organisation, displaying:

  • Protocol Name & Logo

  • Total Value Locked (TVL)

  • Number of Markets

  • Explore Button to view available VEOs.

Clicking on the Explore button will bring up specific details about the organisation (e.g. Everclear in this case)

Key Sections of the Organisation VEO Page

Organisation Profile

  • Supported Chains – Indicates which blockchain networks this organisation operates on.

  • Creation Date – Shows when the organisation was added to Lucid.

  • Description – A brief summary of the organisation’s role and its involvement in DeFi.

  • Create VEO – Allows the organisation’s team to launch new VEO markets. Click here for step by step instructions on how to Create VEOs.

  • Visit Website – Directs users to the protocol’s official website.

Dashboard Overview

The dashboard provides real-time insights into the organisation’s VEO activity:

  • Total Value Locked (TVL): The total amount of assets locked across all active VEOs within this organisation.

  • Total VEOs: The number of VEO markets created by this organisation.

  • Unique Bonders: The total number of distinct addresses that have participated in the organisation’s VEOs.

Value Locked Chart displays a visual representation of the liquidity distribution across different VEO types:

  • Total Value Locked (Blue)

  • Liquidity VEOs (Green)

  • TVL VEOs (Orange)

  • Strategic Asset VEOs (Yellow)

Users can toggle between different timeframes (1D, 7D, or All) to track changes in value locked over time.

Available Markets (VEOs)

This section lists all active and past VEO markets created by the organisation. Each row in the table represents a specific VEO and provides essential details.
